Last updated: 2 August 2026.
Who is responsible for your data?
Vakconnectie V.O.F. (Dutch Chamber of Commerce/KvK no. 42065725), established in Haarlem, the Netherlands, is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. Privacy questions can be sent to info@vakconnectie.nl or asked by phone via +31 6 17 34 73 33.
What data do we collect?
Through a project request, a registration as an independent professional, or a message to our chatbot (VakBot), we may receive your name, phone number, email address, address or region, project description, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) details, and any photos you choose to provide.
How do we collect this data?
Our forms do not automatically send anything to a Vakconnectie server. When you fill in a form and click "Send via WhatsApp" or "Send via Email", your own WhatsApp or email application opens with a pre-filled message; we only receive the data once you actively send that message yourself. Nothing is transmitted or stored before you consciously do so.
Why do we use your data, and on what legal basis?
We process your data to handle project requests and professional registrations and to contact you (performance of a contract, or steps taken prior to entering one), to prevent fraud and misuse and safeguard the quality of our intermediary service (legitimate interest), and to comply with legal obligations such as our bookkeeping and invoicing duties (legal obligation). Where a purpose requires consent, we ask for it in advance.
Who do we share your data with?
Where necessary for your request, we share data with selected independent professionals. We also work with: WhatsApp (Meta Platforms, Inc.) for communication you send via WhatsApp yourself; Amazon Web Services (AWS), Frankfurt region (eu-central-1), for storing and securely delivering this website; and our email provider for managing info@vakconnectie.nl. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Processing outside the EEA
This website is primarily stored within the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). To deliver the website quickly worldwide we use a content delivery network with locations outside the EEA, and WhatsApp (Meta) may process data outside the EEA. Where that happens, it is subject to the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long do we keep your data?
Because project requests and registrations are sent directly from your own device via WhatsApp or email, they do not automatically end up in a Vakconnectie system: messages remain in Vakconnectie's WhatsApp account or mailbox for as long as necessary for the purpose for which they were received, and are deleted afterwards.
Children's data
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe we have nonetheless received a child's data, please contact us at info@vakconnectie.nl and we will remove it.
Security and data breaches
This website is only accessible via HTTPS and applies technical measures such as HSTS and a restrictive Content Security Policy to protect data in transit. If you suspect a data breach or have a security question, please contact us directly at info@vakconnectie.nl.

Where consent is the legal basis, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@vakconnectie.nl. You may also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Cookies and local storage
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics services. The only thing it stores locally in your browser (localStorage) is your language preference (Dutch/English); this is not personal data. If analytics or marketing services are added later, this policy and, where required, the consent interface will be updated first.
